When to apply:

Apply early spring, prior to crabgrass germination. Crabgrass germinates when soil temperatures reach 55 degrees F.

 

How to apply:

Apply evenly using a properly calibrated broadcast or drop spreader.  For best results, apply within a few days after mowing and delay mowing again for a few days after the application.  Performance is improved if application is followed by ½ inch of rainfall or sprinkler irrigation. Refer to product label on back of bag for complete application instructions and precautions.

 

Benefits of Fertilizer:

Nitrogen: Gives dark green color to plants and promotes increased leaf and stem growth. 

Phosphorus: Stimulates early root formation and growth. Gives rapid and vigorous start to plants and winter hardiness to fall seeding.

Potash: Increases disease resistance to plants. Essential to the formation and transfer of starches, sugars, and oils. Helps development of root system.
